In 2019, the staff at Churchill Junior High School thought about a grant to the East Brunswick Education Foundation to fund student driven ideas to make the world a better place. This was the perfect opportunity for making an organization that really cares. When the COVID-19 pandemic occurred, the grant idea was halted. It's 2022... We worked to create a proposal form that aimed to deliver something that mattered, ChalkToWalk.org.
How it all began
Anybody could donate to an organization, but we wanted to put in the work and create an organization driven to spread kindness. When we envisioned ChalkToWalk, we expected it to be a way to talk to people about spreading kindness. We acheived that and more. We worked together to hold our first event at Churchill Junior High School, and have an outreach that lasted. We bought ChalkToWalk.org before anyone else, and impacted hundreds of staff and students.
What it all became
ChalkToWalk will forever be a part of the East Brunswick community. The staff and students collaborated and worked together to create something that holds a weight in the community. ChalkToWalk, sincerely hopes to have another beautiful impact as this in the East Brunswick community again.
